Grew up in the Trenton/Ewing area. Joe is a veteran musician who also taught in the Trenton school district 27 years. He is twice inducted into the Blues Hall of Fame, and has led the band since 1978, opening for many greats, such as Muddy Waters, Buddy Guy, and dozens more.
New Jersey Hall of Fame member.
Bassist and singer Billy "Blues Boy" Holt has been with Joe Zook and Blues Deluxe from the very beginning.
His walking and swing style playing drives this rhythm section.
Coupled with his powerful vocals, he is an on-demand player performing with many Jersey musicians.
Steve Kaplan, AKA Barry Sacks, has been teaching and preforming music since 1972.
Received a BA in Music Education from Montclair State College in 1980.
Steve has been part of the Blues Deluxe horn section since 2001 and has written some arrangements for Joe Zook's fabulous band.
Bob "Mose" Marsley, usually referred to as Mose, is an experienced, sought-after drummer and percussionist.
One of the original members of Blues Deluxe, Mose has returned to bringing his take on blues drumming.
Don Ober, often called “Tunes” or “Tuner” by many of his friends, due to his 35-year profession as a piano tuner, has been entertaining in bands since he played his first gig for his sixth-grade class graduation party. The opportunity to play along Joe Zook has been a wonderful opportunity for Don and he greatly appreciates the opportunity to play with such an excellent musician such as Joe. Played in Maine in 2002
